Then\, use prompts and free writing time to create your own original wr iting\, share your writing out loud and provide feedback to one another.&n bsp\;

\nAbout the presenters:
\nEmily Clemente holds an MFA in fiction from Florida State University and is currently a Ph.D. student in creative writing at the University of Missouri\, where she has taught mixed-genre creative writing\, intermediate fiction and life writin g to undergraduate students. Emily has also taught creative writing to mid dle and high school students as an instructor at summer intensive writing camps and to incarcerated women through the Southeast Review's Incarcerate d Writers Program.
\nClemente is a published writer of both fiction and nonfiction essays\, with work appearing in December\, Jellyfish Review and Deep South Magazine\, among others. Her writing has earned her a Push cart Prize nomination\, a semifinalist place for American Short Fiction's Halifax Ranch Prize\, the Max Steele Award in Fiction and support from the Southampton Writer's Conference at Stony Brook University. \nWilliam Lanstone is an English Ph.D. student at the Uni versity of Missouri. He holds an M.S. in narrative medicine from the Unive rsity of Southern California\, during which he facilitated community creat ive writing based workshops for individuals transitioning from locked ment al health situations. He has workshopped works of fiction\, nonfiction and poetry at the graduate level\, and has taught creative writing to undergr aduates as a guest lecturer. He is currently drafting a novel styled after notable modernist writers\, and his current research interests include mo dernism\, health humanities and narratives of aging\, disability and death .
