The State of Illinois Central Management S ervices (CMS) is hosting an interactive career workshop for community memb ers interested in State employment. The session will introduce attendees t o career opportunities with the State of Illinois\, explain how to search and apply for positions\, review minimum qualifications and job title requ irements\, provide tips for creating a competitive State of Illinois resum e\, and offer an overview of the State hiring and interview process\, incl uding internship and early-career opportunities.

Following the pre sentation\, attendees will have the opportunity to receive one-on-one care er counseling\, including resume reviews\, assistance in identifying State positions that align with their education and experience\, application gu idance\, and interview preparation. If computers are available\, participa nts may also create applicant accounts\, search current State vacancies\, and begin applying for positions with assistance from State of Illinois CM S staff.
