This presentation by Tazeen Bharucha from the YMCA Child \;Care Resource and Referral and Debra Vanderwood from School District #43 is aimed at parents of preschoolers \;
\nThi s workshop is designed to help parents and caregivers understand kindergar ten readiness through a \;whole-child lens. Together\, we will explore how children grow and learn socially\, emotionally\, cognitively\, physic ally\, and through everyday self-help skills. Rather than focusing on chec klists or academic milestones alone\, this session will look at the many w ays families can support children as curious\, capable\, and confident lea rners. Through reflection\, conversation\, and practical ideas\, parents w ill leave with a deeper understanding of what readiness can look like and how to help their child feel supported\, prepared\, and excited for kinder garten. \;
