 <p><strong>About the speaker</strong></p>\n<p>Gary Bruce holds a PhD in Mo
 dern German History from McGill University. A professor of history for ove
 r twenty years at the University of Waterloo\, he is the author of three b
 ooks and numerous articles on various aspects of nineteenth and twentieth 
 century Germany. His current project deals with the relationship between H
 itler and R&ouml\;hm as the central aspect of Night of the Long Knives. Wh
 en not reading about German history\, he can be found on his bicycle.</p>\
