The United States Air Force Band of the Go lden West is stationed in the San Francisco Bay Area at Travis Air Force B ase. The only active duty Air Force band west of the Rockies\, the Band of the Golden West is comprised of 60 talented and versatile Airmen-musician s under the command of Captain Brian O&rsquo\;Donnell. In addition to perf orming for civilian communities throughout the states of Washington\, Oreg on\, California\, Arizona\, and Nevada\, the band supports 13 Air Force Ba ses and 8 Air Force Reserve Wings in over 400 performances annually for 9 million listeners.
\nThe organization offers several outstanding per forming groups\; The Concert Band\, Ceremonial Marching Band\, The Command ers Jazz Ensemble\, Mobility Rock Band\, Galaxy Rock Band\, Sierra Winds\, Golden West Winds\, Travis Brass Quintet\, Golden West Brass Band\, and m ore. Additionally\, the Band of the Golden West provides solo musicians fo r performances of the National Anthem and solo buglers for Taps details. T he band has performed with musical artists such as Arturo Sandoval\, Penta tonix\, the San Francisco Symphony\, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra\, and wi th notable organizations such as the San Francisco 49ers\, the Arizona Car dinals\, NASCAR\, The Tournament of Roses Parade\, and many many more.
