DESCRIPTION:Join us for our next Writer's Workshop\, where we'll dive into
the art of crafting suspense in crime fiction. .\nhttps://grlc.libnet.in
 fo/event/17120642
X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>The Writing challenge: write a short story
using one of the following outlines -&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>1) "The Suspicious S
tranger" - Start with a character noticing a mysterious stranger in an ord
inary setting (e.g.\, a caf&eacute\;\, park\, or bus). The narrative shoul
d build suspense\, hinting at the stranger's intentions without giving awa
y their motives until the end.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>2) "The Clue and the Consequ
ence" - Write a short scene where a character discovers an unusual object
or clue that foreshadows a crime. Emphasize creating intrigue rather than
giving away the details.</p>\n<p>3) "The Alibi" - Write from the perspecti
ve of a character explaining their alibi for a crime they may or may not h
ave committed. The goal is to create doubt and tension\, leaving the reade
 r unsure of the character&rsquo\;s innocence.</p>\n<p>Submissions should b
e no longer than 800 words and may be written in either first or third per
son. On the day\, participants will briefly share their process\, any diff
 iculties\, or creative decisions they made.</p>\n<p>Whether you&rsquo\;re
an experienced writer or just starting out\, this session is perfect for a
nyone looking to expand their storytelling toolkit.</p>\nhttps://grlc.libn
