 umber of available time slots. Readers can sign up for a time slot at the 
 Information Desk. Each reader will have <strong>ten minutes</strong> to re
 ad one-on-one with a certified therapy dog!</p>\n<p>This program is specif
 ically targeted to <strong>children&nbsp\;</strong><strong>5-12 years old<
 /strong>&nbsp\;who have some ability to read aloud on their own.&nbsp\;</p
 >\n<p>This is an independent reading program. Parents and caregivers are e
 ncouraged to let their child read independently with the dog and&nbsp\;can
  observe their reader from a nearby table during the reading session.</p>\
 n<p>Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited
  to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children a
 ttending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adul
 t. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompany
