 k Library's Book Crew is just right for beginner readers in grades K-1. Ea
 ch month we will read a book together\, talk about it and do a fun activit
 y inspired by the book. Copies will be available for checkout at the meeti
 ng. Book Crew does not teach reading\, rather&nbsp\;it is meant to introdu
 ce kids to some awesome books\, get them excited about books and reading\,
  and help them develop social skills through interaction with their peers.
 &nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong>This is an independent learning experience. Parent
 s and caregivers will not be present in the program room but must remain i
 n the library building during the program. Please meet your child&nbsp\; d
 ownstairs outside the meeting room at 5:45 PM.</strong></p>\n<p>Library Pr
 ogram Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participan
 ts within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MC
 PL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults atte
 nding a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.</p>
