This presentati on explores how the history of treaties\, Termination\, and Restoration co ntinues to shape the Klamath Tribes today\, providing important context fo r understanding contemporary issues.
\nThe presentation will provide historical context before exploring contemporary issues affecting the Kla math Tribes\, including treaty rights\, Indigenous values of stewardship a nd honorable harvest\, the removal of the Klamath River dams\, salmon rest oration\, and the ongoing challenges of caring for the land and water. Gab riann will conclude by highlighting current restoration efforts and discus sing how Indigenous knowledge and stewardship continue to shape the restor ation and long-term health of ecosystems for future generations.

Gabriann Hall is an enrolled member of the K lamath Tribes and was born and raised in the Fort Klamath Valley\, where s he attended school in Chiloquin\, Oregon. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Ethnic Studies\, a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies\, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Oregon State University.
\nGabriann currently lives in Central Oregon\, where she teaches Ethnic Studies and Native Studies at Central Oregon Community College. Drawing on both her ac ademic background and her lived experience as a tribal member\, her work f ocuses on Indigenous history\, tribal sovereignty\, land stewardship\, and the ongoing relationship between Native communities and their traditional homelands. Through her teaching and public presentations\, she seeks to f oster a deeper understanding of Indigenous perspectives\, the history of t he Klamath Tribes\, and contemporary issues affecting Native communities.< /p>\n
