  player\, this a casual meet-up connecting with friends new and old. Play 
 alongside Min Cao\, a Mahjong master\, our team of volunteers\, or assist 
 new players to find their groove.</p>\n<p>Chinese Mahjong is a traditional
 \, four-player tile game of skill\, strategy\, and luck played with 144 ti
 les based on suits\, winds\, and dragons. Players draw and discard tiles i
 n a counterclockwise order to be the first to form a winning hand of four 
 sets and one pair.</p>\n<p>Novice players are encouraged to attend <a href
 ="https://events.cambridgepl.ca/event/17137869" target="_blank" rel="noope
 ner" title="Second Saturday: Intro to Mahjong">Second Saturday: Intro to M
 ahjong</a> to learn the basics of the game.</p>\n<p>&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><stron
 g>About the facilitator</strong></p>\n<p>Min Cao is a Program &amp\; Event
  Specialist at Waterloo Public Library with more than 10 years of experien
 ce serving Ontario&rsquo\;s public library communities\, including previou
 sly working as a Supervisor with the Mississauga Library System.</p>\n<p>O
 riginally from Shanghai\, China\, Min is passionate about sharing Chinese 
 culture and building community connections through library programs. Over 
 the past several years\, she has introduced Chinese/American Mahjong to di
 verse communities through library and community initiatives\, creating wel
 coming\, beginner-friendly environments where people of all ages and backg
 rounds can learn\, connect\, and enjoy this traditional game.</p>\n<p>Min 
 developed Waterloo Public Library&rsquo\;s Majestic Tiles (Mahjong) Club\,
  where she has helped hundreds of participants discover Chinese/American M
 ahjong. She believes Mahjong is more than a game&mdash\;it encourages soci
 al connection\, lifelong learning\, and mental engagement.</p>\n<p>Min is 
 excited to partner with Cambridge Public Library to introduce Chinese/Amer
 ican Mahjong to the community and welcome new players to experience this t
