\ nABOUT THE PRESENTER
\nMarlise Schoeny has a bachelor&rsquo\;s degree in history from Miami University an d a master&rsquo\;s degree in textiles and clothing from The Ohio State Un iversity. Her graduate studies focused on the history of clothing\, partic ularly the relationship between clothing and identity in the nineteenth ce ntury\, and the interpretation of clothing artifacts in museums. Marlise j oined the Ohio History Connection in 2022\, and curates the costume collec tion. Prior to joining the Ohio History Connection\, Marlise was the Assis tant Curator for The Ohio State Historic Costume &\; Textiles Collectio n for ten years. While at OSU\, Marlise worked extensively with OSU facult y to incorporate historic textiles and clothing into the classroom.
