As part of Fantom Comics&rsquo\; Taiwan Co mics Showcase\, the Library will host five guest artists for a cartoonist talk at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library. This is a unique behi nd-the-scenes exploration of Taiwan&rsquo\;s burgeoning comics scene\, fea turing perhaps the largest group of Taiwanese cartoonists ever to visit th e United States:

Th ese artists represent a wide range of genres and art styles. They will be interviewed by panel moderator Feixue Mei\, Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at James Madison University and the founder of Boundless Bound Pub lishing. She will also give a short presentation of her current research e xamining female-oriented Chinese fantasy webcomics and the ways traditiona l visual languages are reconfigured through digital-first and mobile story telling formats.
