 ts of Lucas County\, Ohio.</strong><br />Applications close September 23\,
 &nbsp\;2026\,&nbsp\;and all requested information must be received by this
  date.</p>\n<p>Before registering for this training\, please read the info
 rmation provided below.</p>\n<p><strong>Individuals seeking certification 
 as family peer supporters in the state of Ohio must provide proof of:</str
 ong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>a high school diploma or equivalent</li>\n<li>a minimu
 m of 40-hours of competency-based peer services training&nbsp\;(The NAMI O
 hio Family Peer Support training is approved by the Ohio Department of Men
 tal Health and Addiction Services for the workforce development of certifi
 ed family peer supporters.)</li>\n<li>passing the family peer support exam
 </li>\n<li>having read and understood the code of ethics</li>\n<li>passing
  BCI and FBI background checks*</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>*The following off
 enses are permanently disqualifying:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>aggravated mu
 rder</li>\n<li>rape</li>\n<li>sexual battery</li>\n<li>gross sexual imposi
 tion</li>\n<li>pandering obscenity</li>\n<li>pandering sexually-oriented m
 atter involving a minor</li>\n<li>illegal use of minor in nudity-oriented 
 material or performance</li>\n<li>making a terrorist threat</li>\n<li>terr
 orism</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>**The following offenses are disqualifying f
 or a period of five years</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>permitting child abuse</
 li>\n<li>failing to provide for a functionally impaired person</li>\n<li>p
 atient abuse and neglect</li>\n<li>patient endangerment</li>\n<li>criminal
  child enticement (felony level)</li>\n<li>unlawful conduct with respect t
 o documents</li>\n<li>trafficking in persons</li>\n<li>unlawful sexual con
 duct with a minor\, formerly corruption of a minor</li>\n<li>sexual imposi
 tion</li>\n<li>importuning</li>\n<li>voyeurism</li>\n<li>felonious sexual 
 imposition</li>\n<li>disseminating matter harmful to juveniles</li>\n<li>p
 andering obscenity involving a minor</li>\n<li>soliciting/providing for ac
 t of terrorism</li>\n<li>Medicaid fraud</li>\n<li>endangering children</li
