\nYaY a\, Rahmah A. Abdulaleem\, Rabbi Abbi Sharofsky\, and the Reverend Janelle Johnson-Lester will share how Islamic\, Christian\, Jewish\, and non-thei stic texts and experiences provide guidance and give shape to hope practic es.

Rahmah A. Abdulaleem \;is a law school faculty member\, attorney\, and strategic advisor focused on religious fr eedom\, civil rights\, and Muslim women&rsquo\;s leadership. She teaches L egal Writing\, Legal Research\, and Moot Court\, where she prepares future lawyers to think critically\, analyze complex legal problems\, and commun icate with precision and persuasive clarity. Through rigorous coursework a nd individualized mentorship\, she trains law students in the professional skills essential to effective legal advocacy.
\nIn addition to her academic work\, Ms. Abdulaleem is a strategic consultant and thought leade r in American Muslim civil society. A former nonprofit CEO and Executive D irector\, she has extensive experience building and scaling mission-driven organizations\, developing leadership programs\, and advancing initiative s at the intersection of law\, policy\, and community engagement. Her work focuses on strengthening institutions\, cultivating leadership\, and expa nding the public voice of Muslim women.
\nMs. Abdulaleem currently s erves as Co-Chair of the Religious Freedom Committee of the American Bar A ssociation&rsquo\;s Section of Civil Rights and Social Justice and is a me mber of the American Bar Association Task Force to Combat Islamophobic Bia s. During the Biden-Harris Administration\, she worked with the White Hous e as part of the American Muslim Community Coalition contributing to the d evelopment of the U.S. National Strategy to Counter Islamophobia and Anti- Arab Hate.
\nShe has organized and spoken at educational and civil r ights programs around the world. Ms. Abdulaleem earned her undergraduate d egree from Duke University\, where she double majored in Religion and Soci ology and completed a Certificate in Markets and Management Studies\, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School.

i Sharofsky is the Director of Intergroup Relations and Rabbi in
Residence for the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington
. She studied at the Jewish Theological Seminary and was ordained in 2012.
Rabbi Sharofsky also holds a master&rsquo\;s degree from the Davidson Sch
ool of Jewish Education at the Jewish Theological Seminary. She previously
served as deputy director of the Jewish Welfare Board Jewish Chaplains Co
uncil. Rabbi Sharofsky is involved in numerous interfaith organizations an
d advisory groups throughout Greater Washington and serves as the presiden
t of the Interfaith Council of Metropolitan Washington. Rabbi Sharofsky wo
rks with school districts\, government offices\, corporate and not for pro
fit organizations to address issues of bias and hate\, educate about Jews
and Jewish identity\, and create allies between communities.
