 ditional Maker Faire spirit\, the emphasis for this competition is on crea
 tivity\, craftsmanship\, and storytelling.&nbsp\;</p>\n<h5><strong>How to 
 Register:</strong></h5>\n<p>Registration is free! <strong>Complete your re
 gistration before 10:30 AM on September 4th.</strong> Online registration 
 is encouraged\, though onsite entries will be accepted at the Maker Faire 
 Welcome Desks located in front of the Event Center and Center for Innovati
 on.</p>\n<h5><strong>Contest Details:</strong></h5>\n<p>Each contestant wi
 ll have approximately 60 seconds on stage. Costumes can be original charac
 ters or inspired by history\, literature\, comics\, movies\, television\, 
 video games\, and more. Prizes will be awarded to the top performers!</p>\
 n<p>The contest is open to all ages.&nbsp\;<strong>Contestants under 18 mu
 st have a parent or legal guardian present.</strong></p>\n<h5><strong>Judg
 ing Criteria:</strong></h5>\n<p><strong>Performance:</strong> Stage profic
 iency and ability to act in character.<br /><strong>Craftsmanship:</strong
 > Costume appearance\, complexity\, creativity\, and movement.<br /><stron
 g>Storytelling:</strong> Accuracy to the original character&rsquo\;s costu
 me and story or originality and interpretation.</p>\n<h5><strong>Important
  Rules:</strong></h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Costumes must be tasteful and family-frie
 ndly.</li>\n<li>No real weapons or prop guns.</li>\n<li>No projectiles\, l
 ive animals (except service animals)\, or loud audio devices.</li>\n<li>No
  jumping off the stage or use of flames\, fireworks\, smoke\, or lasers.</
 li>\n<li>Contestants must adhere to all library safety and&nbsp\;<strong><
 a href="https://www.faylib.org/policycodeofconduct-12591/location/faylib" 
 target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="conduct guidelines">conduct guidelin
 es</a></strong>.</li>\n<li>By participating\, you agree that any photos or
