 hen you register\, you will be taken to a third-party sign-up sheet\, wher
 e you will get to choose your character. There are three categories of cha
 racters:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Essential Characters:</strong> These are t
 he main characters. They have the most lines\, clues\, and stake in the st
 ory. Without them\, the game cannot play. If you are comfortable being in 
 the spotlight\, we highly recommend choosing from this list first.</li>\n<
 li><strong>Secondary Character:</strong> These characters are recommended.
  They are still involved in the story and have a decent amount of lines\, 
 clues\, and unique connections to other characters.</li>\n<li><strong>Opti
 onal Characters:</strong> If you are shy or want to watch more than play t
 he game\, we recommend these characters. These characters still have lines
  and clues\, but they are mostly spectators.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Murder! At th
 e Masquerade is divided into 4 rounds. During rounds 1\, 2\, and 3\, each 
 player will reveal the clues given to them in their handbook. During round
  4\, each player will guess who they think killed the victim. Once every p
 layer has guessed\, the host will ask the the players to read their confes
 sions. Prizes will be awarded to Best Improviser\, Winner of the Ultimate 
 Prize\, Best Dastardly Plan\, Best Costume\, Best Accusation\, and Best Ch
 aracter Quirks.</p>\n<p>Costumes are <strong>HIGHLY ENCOURAGED</strong>! B

 ou receive an invitation to a masquerade ball. It appears out of nowhere\,
  like magic. The host is unknown\, but the location is enticing: an old ca
 stle off the coast\, built on a small island\, accessible only by boat. On
  the invitation is a challenge\, written in gold ink to attract the eye\, 
 All guests will compete for the ultimate prize. The catch? You cannot reve
 al your true identity. You cannot refuse.</p>\n<p>A storm brews as you boa
 rd the boat. You arrive at the castle and still\, the host is not revealed
 . The storm grows\, and lightning strikes\; soon you hear a scream &ndash\
 ; a body is found on the rocks\, pushed from the ballroom balcony. A woman
  is dead. But who was she? As you discuss the deadly dance with your fello
 w guests\, you will ask these questions:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Who is the host?</
 li>\n<li>Why did the host throw a masquerade ball?</li>\n<li>Why were you 
 invited?</li>\n<li>What is the ultimate prize?</li>\n<li>Who are your fell
 ow guests?</li>\n</ul>\n<p>By solving these riddles\, you may catch the mu
 rderer. And maybe if you catch the murderer\, you will leave the island al
