Deborah Fruchey was born in southern California and moved to the Bay Area at the age of 8. She spent most of her adult life d ownwardly mobile\, and hung out with artists\, poets\, and the differently abled. She still does\, despite the house and car and all the good things that eventually came into her life. Her first novel was chosen as a Best Book of the Year by the American Bookseller&rsquo\;s Association\, and she has published 8 volumes to date.
