 </p>\n<p>Silvia L&oacute\;pez was born in Cuba and came to Miami as a chil
 d. Her love of reading led to a long career as children&rsquo\;s librarian
  and later as author of over eighteen children&rsquo\;s books\, most bilin
 gual or dual-language. Her books have received Florida Book Awards\, been 
 chosen as Junior Library Guild selections\, and earned starred reviews in 
 Booklist and School Library Journal. Two more titles are scheduled for rel
 ease in 2027. Silvia is a member of SCBWI\, Las Musas\, We need Diverse Bo
 oks\, and co-founder of Bilingual Book Buddies\, a podcast series promotin
