X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p><strong>This is a drop-in fort-building op
en house intended&nbsp\;for children ages 3-10. All children must be accom
panied by a caregiver.</strong></p>\n<p>With a few simple materials you ca
n create a structure your little one can safely get lost in! This fort bui
lding workshop led by Kaija Marshall goes into the mechanics of PVC pipes
(inputs\, outputs\, and angles) and the basic structures needed to support
fabrics and create a cozy hideaway. We&rsquo\;ll also dive into the archi
tecture behind pretend play and how to encourage your child to find joy in
creating their own space. Successful pretend play requires imagination\,
understanding\, and feeling safe and secure in the real world.</p>\n<p><sp

and holistic workshop facilitator. She earned her Master's degree in Socia
l Work from San Diego State University in 2015\, her 200 RYS Yoga Instruct
or certificate in 2016\, and her Birth Doula &amp\; Postpartum Doula train
ing in 2019. She currently serves growing families as a doula all over Ben
 d. Before moving into the perinatal sphere\, she worked at Girl Scouts San
Diego as an Evaluation Specialist\, Camp Counselor\, and Outreach Program
Leader\, all while moonlighting as a nanny for families in San Diego coun
ty. She firmly believes in the purpose of play\, and seeks to encourage mi
nd\, body and soul connections through movement\, productive dialogue\, an
d authentic connection. She believes that data synthesis and gut feelings
both have a place in decision making-- this is also reflected in her backg
round: a unique mix of higher education and holistic training-- and this f
oundation allows her to help folks bridge the gap between institutional an
d instinctual knowledge to a place of understanding.</p>\n<p></p>\nhttps:/
