Join us for eclectic live music outside on the Artsakh Paseo! Enjoy a night of Bolero and Ranchera music featuring V oz Bohemia as a part of the Jewel City Concert Series. Visitors are encour aged to bring a chair and enjoy the music on the paseo. Performances may b e experienced by children and families. Admission is free.
\nVoz Bohemia is a L.A.-based trí\;o romá\;ntico with a strong foundation in bolero and ranchera music that also performs other genres that reflect the greater soundscape of Los Angeles\, Mé\;xico \, Latinoamerica\, and beyond. Comprised of musicians Mary Alfaro Velasco\ , Jesú\;s Gudiñ\;o and Ray Gudiñ\;o\, this multi-generat ional ensemble performs classic boleros in the vein of the great trí \;os romá\;nticos like Los Tres Ases\, Los Tres Reyes\, Los Tres Cab alleros\, Los Dandys\, Los Panchos\, among others. Their goal is to preser ve the trí\;o romá\;ntico tradition in its highest form and to shine a light on the diverse bolero canon\, performing timeless pieces by bolero artists and composers of different backgrounds and experiences. Th ey aim to share this music with different generations of bolero lovers at all types of events throughout the L.A. community and beyond. In addition to performing regularly throughout the country\, members of Voz Bohemia ar e also actively involved in songwriting\, studio recording\, and music edu cation.
