Important No te: Participants must be 13 years of age or older. Registrations for participants under 13 will be cancelled.

Explore natural dyein g and textile art inspired by Mé\;tis design traditions. Experiment with plant and berry based dyes to paint and stamp on to fabric to create colours\, patterns and textures. Simple stitching will also be used. No pr evious art or sewing experience is required. Participants will create a un ique handmade textile piece. Please dress accordingly\, as the activity ma y be messy.

Presenter Information: \;Sara McCreary is a Mé\;tis artist and graduate student in the Master of Fine Arts program at the University of Regina&rsquo\;s Fa culty of Media\, Art\, and Performance. Her research-creation practice inc ludes sewing\, quilting\, beadwork\, embroidery and natural dye.
