Participa nts will learn to choose a meaningful memory\, craft an engaging opening\, use sensory details and emotion to bring a story to life\, and turn an ex perience into a story readers will want to follow. \; Through simple w riting exercises and practical techniques\, participants will begin writin g a personal story during the workshop. \; No previous writing experie nce is necessary - only a willingness to remember\, explore\, and put word s on paper. \; Participants will leave with the beginning of a story\, practical tools they can continue using\, and perhaps most importantly\, a new appreciation for the stories only they can tell.
