 signed to provoke discussion\, create awareness of unique library resource
 s held by the Special Collections Division of the Miami-Dade Public Librar
 y System and generate enthusiasm for learning and research.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p
 ><strong>About the Film Collection</strong>&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>The Miami-Dade 
 Public Library holds one of the remaining\, circulating 16mm film collecti
 ons. The collection dates back to 1956 and was developed to be a teaching 
 collection designed to be used for public programming.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;<br />
 The library&rsquo\;s films are available to be checked out for a period of
  2 weeks to Miami-Dade Public Library cardholders. The library does not ci
 rculate equipment and projectors &ndash\; patrons will need to have their 
 own. Patrons can also access the films on-site at the library through a re
 search visit scheduled with the Special Collections department.&nbsp\;</p>

 p\;</strong></p>\n<p>MDPLS&rsquo\;s Division of Special Collections &amp\;

 da Collection\,&nbsp\;16mm&nbsp\;Film Collection\, Cuban Collection of Rar
 e Books &amp\; Ephemera\, Genealogy Collection\, and Vasari Project archiv
 e. These collections include books\, original manuscripts\, over 18\,000 p
