DESCRIPTION:Got a broken something? Bring it to be repaired!.\nhttps://dpl

X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p><strong>Registration is optional. Use the
 link&nbsp\;to let us know you're coming.</strong></p>\n<p>The Environmenta
l Center's Rethink Waste Project&nbsp\;coordinates with an amazing group o
f volunteer fixers to host Repair Caf&eacute\;s every few months. These fr
ee events connect people with broken stuff to people who like to fix stuff
  - they're all about repairing things (together). Stuff like jewelry\, sma
 ll appliances and electronics\, outdoor gear\, clothing\, bicycles\, furni
ture\, and more.&nbsp\;Repair Caf&eacute\;s are held around the world! Rep
airing with other people saves natural resources\, prevents waste\, and cu
 ltivates community.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><strong>What to expect:&nbsp\;</stron
g></p>\n<p>Attendees bring their broken items to the registration table to
receive a Repair Ticket\, then wait until their number is called. Experie
nced fixer volunteers will attempt to repair or mend your items and may te
ach you how to fix them yourself. Fixers can diagnose an issue and offer t
heir best\, unbiased advice.</p>\n<p>Some items are more difficult to repa
ir\, can take longer than we have time for at the event\, or even break mo
re during a repair attempt. Our repair rate is over 65%\, with most of the
remaining items receiving take-home repair instructions.</p>\n<p>Learn mo
 re about Repair Cafes&nbsp\;<a href="https://envirocenter.org/mending-more
 -than-stuff-building-a-repair-community/">here</a>.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p></p>\n<
 p><strong>What to bring:</strong></p>\n<p>Clothing\, textiles\, outdoor ge
 ar\, electronics\, small appliances\, and other household goods.&nbsp\;Not
sure if it can be fixed? Bring it!</p>\n<p>Only bring items small enough
to be easily carried by one person\, and do not bring any items that are l
eaking\, dangerous\, or dirty. Repairers can turn down any items that do n
ot meet these guidelines.</p>\n<p>A maximum of one broken item per person
will be examined at a time\, but you are welcome to bring several items. A
fter each item is examined/repaired\, you must return to the registration
table to be matched with another fixer volunteer for a second item.</p>\n<
p>Some repairs might require replacement parts. Fixer volunteers will let
you know exactly what's needed\, and you're welcome to purchase parts at a
  nearby hardware store and bring the item back to the Repair Caf&eacute\;
to complete the repair\, or take home repair instructions instead. While t
he event and repairs are free\, you will be responsible for the cost of an
 y additional parts.<br /><br /></p>\n<p></p>\n<p><img src="https://static.
