 pants 16+. Registration is required. </strong></p>\n<p>Learn to make a per
 fect pie every time using basic time-tested methods without any fancy equi
 pment. These are recipes that the instructor Janice has been using since e
 lementary school. The class will include a discussion of how to make a fla
 ky pie crust\, demonstration of making the pies and then each attendee wil
 l make their own batch of pie crust to take home with copies of each pie r
 ecipe. Samples of pumpkin and apple pie will be available to enjoy during 
 the class as well. This class is packed with valuable tips and techniques\
 , including how to achieve a perfectly flaky crust\, how to roll out pies 
 expertly without tearing\, knowing when pies are perfectly baked and crimp
 ing pie dough.</p>\n<p><strong>Allergens</strong> - Wheat\, Dairy\, Eggs. 
 For individual batches of dough to take home we can provide gluten free fl
 our with advanced notice. Pies for sampling during the class will contain 
 allergens listed above.</p>\n<p><strong>About the Presenter:</strong></p>\
 n<p>Janice Keeley&nbsp\;is the owner of&nbsp\;Arome. She is a gourmet food
  enthusiast who grew up on a small family farm in the heart of the Willame
 tte Valley. She developed her love of gardening and cooking at an early ag
 e on the farm\, but started her career and spent about 10 years as a civil
  engineer after attending Oregon State University. In 2016\, she pivoted a
 nd pursued her dream of bringing unique and high quality gourmet foods and
  kitchen wares to Hood River\, Oregon and opened the first location of Aro
 me in early 2017. Janice loves the unique knowledge the every customer bri
 ngs to the store and enjoys learning about each person's flavor preference
