Andrew Porter \;is the author of the story collections \;The Disappeared \;and&n bsp\;The Theory of Light and Matter\, as well as the novels \;In Betwe en Days \;and \;The Imagined Life. He has received a Pushcart Priz e and the Flannery O&rsquo\;Connor Award for Short Fiction\, and his work has appeared in \;The Best American Short Stories \;anthology\,&nb sp\;Ploughshares\, and the \;Southern Review\, and on NPR&rsquo\;s&nbs p\;Selected Shorts. He teaches at Trinity University in San Antonio. \ ;
