 r is the author of nine books of (mostly) fiction\, most recently a collec
 tion of one hundred&nbsp\;very short&nbsp\;ghost stories called&nbsp\;<em>
 The Ghost Variations.</em> He has&nbsp\;participated&nbsp\;in the Six Brid
 ges Book Festival each year since its&nbsp\;inception. His work has been t
 ranslated into eighteen languages\, and he divides his time between Little
  Rock\, where he was raised\, and Iowa City\, where he is a professor at t
 he Iowa Writers&rsquo\; Workshop.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;<br />&nbsp\;<br />Brockmei
 er will read a short excerpt from&nbsp\;a work&nbsp\;in progress.&nbsp\;</
 p>\n<h3>Stacey Yu</h3>\n<p>Stacey&nbsp\;Yu&nbsp\;is a Chinese American wri
 ter. She grew up between Texas\, Arkansas\,&nbsp\;and&nbsp\;California&nbs
 p\;and&nbsp\;currently lives in London.&nbsp\;<em>Kitten</em>&nbsp\;is her
  debut novel.</p>\n<p><em>Kitten</em> is an enchanting debut novel about a
  young woman whose growing obsession with her boyfriend&rsquo\;s cat opens
  new possibilities for her life&mdash\;but not without threatening to unra
 vel it.</p>\n<hr />\n<p>ASL interpretation will be provided for all Six Br
 idges sessions held in CALS Ron Robinson Theater. ASL interpretation for s
 essions at other CALS locations and Six Bridges venues (including CALS Mai
 n Library) will be provided by request. To request ASL interpretation\, pl

 ion-request/">ASL Interpretation Request</a> form.</p>\n<p>CALS will valid
 ate parking in the CALS Library Square surface lot and the CALS Parking De
 ck. The entrance to the surface lot is located on 2nd&nbsp\;Street near Ri
 ver Market Ave. The entrance to the parking deck is located on Rock Street
  and can be accessed from President Clinton Ave. Street parking is also av
 ailable throughout the River Market District (free after 6pm and on weeken
