 rong></p>\n<p><a href="https://www.hospicewaterloo.ca/">Hospice Waterloo R
 egion</a> was founded in 1993 by Lucille Mitchell\, a local resident who r
 ecognized the need for hospice palliative care services in the Waterloo Re
 gion. Hospice&rsquo\;s core program is the Volunteer Visiting Program. Ind
 ividuals living with life-threatening illness are matched one on one with 
 a highly trained hospice volunteer who commits to making weekly visits to 
 the client&rsquo\;s home to provide emotional and practical support.</p>\n
