Welcome! The East County Library Recording Studio provides free recording sessions to support our community in creat ing music and recorded projects.

Please Read Entire Description

Registration is req uired as openings are limited.

\n

This registration will be for October recordings. New registrations open at the beginning of each month for the follo wing month. Demand is high\, and spaces are limited\, so we apologize if w e are unable to get you in this month. \;

Only one registratio n per project please. A project can be an individual or group of up to 8 p eople. \;

\n

Audio projects can be spoken word\, voice over\, sto rytelling etc. Sessions are not limited to music only. \;

    \n< li>Booking Process: Submissions are reviewed and booked in the order recei ved.\n
  1. Scheduling: Sessi ons take place on Thursdays between 10 AM and 5:30 PM. Please note: Applic ants cannot choose their own dates or times. Once we review your re quest\, we will contact you as soon as possible with available days and ti me slots.

  2. Project Feasibility: If a requested project scope does n't seem feasible within our schedule or equipment limits\, we will work w ith you to revise the project so it works at the studio.

  3. Session Lengths: 2-hour\, 3-hour\, 4-hour\, or 6-hour blocks (6 hours maximum).\n
  4. Engineering: An in-house audio engineer is provided and will be p resent during the entire session.

  5. Project Limits:\n

    1. Mul ti-tracking or Mixing: Limited to 1 song (under 10 min) per session.

    2. Live Tracking: As many songs/takes as time permits within your booked block.

  6. Age Requirement: Anyone under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

After registering you will receive an email with a form to be filled out. This will help determine scheduling.
