Inspired by the "shack" art of artist Beve rly Buchanan\, turn ordinary cardboard into a unique work of art! African American artist Buchanan (1940-2015) worked in various mediums but is perh aps best known for artwork that depicted the "shack" housing of the Americ an south. We will use recycled cardboard in addition to colorful art suppl ies to construct our own artsy homes. All supplies provided. This program is designed for K-3rd grade children\, but both older and younger children may also enjoy it!
