 r patrons to learn more about the curatorial themes and artworks on view.<
 /p>\n<p><strong>At 3:00 PM:</strong><br />Join exhibition artist Marcus Ku
 iland-Nazario in the Recital Hall adjacent to the gallery for 'The Last Wo
 rd Is Yours: Epitaph as Self-Portrait'\, a participatory workshop explorin
 g the epitaph as a surprisingly revealing&mdash\;and occasionally mischiev
 ous&mdash\;form of self-portraiture. Drawing from his work in the exhibiti
 on Artifacts From An Unknown Empire\, Kuiland-Nazario will share stories\,
  examples of famous last words and memorable epitaphs\, and a few thoughts
  on what we choose to say when we imagine we can no longer say anything at
  all.</p>\n<p><strong>About the exhibition:</strong><br /><a href="https:/
 /www.brandlibrary.org/gallery"><strong><em>Artifacts from an Unborn Empire
 </em></strong></a> gathers artists to reconsider how civilizations are for
 med and who gets to define them. Through a range of natural and manufactur
 ed materials\, they play with and challenge the systems\, stories\, and sy
 mbols that shape our sense of power\, history\, and belonging. Blending im
 agination with critique\, the exhibition explores cultural myths\, colonia
 l legacies\, and the forces that construct contemporary life. Timed with t
 he 250th anniversary of the United States\, it asks: what kinds of empires
  do we inherit\, and what new ones might rise in their place?</p>\n<p>Spon

 " rel="noopener"><strong>Brand Associates</strong></a>&nbsp\;and the&nbsp\
