  "Let Books Be: Protect the Freedom to Read." Saturday\, October 10th\, is
  Let Freedom Read Day!</p>\n<p>To raise awareness for the day and for Bann
 ed Books Week\, Spokane Public Library invites readers of all ages and int
 erests to grab a book of their choice and join us at Manito Park's <a href
 ="https://my.spokanecity.org/parks/gardens/joel-e-ferris-perennial/">Joel 
 E. Ferris perennial garden</a> for an hour of reading. Participants are we
 lcome to come and go as they please throughout the hour. Writing Education
  Specialist Sharma Shields will be on hand with information about Banned B
 ooks Week and fun new library stickers. Let's fill the park with engaged r
