Needlepoint\, also known as tapestry or ca nvas work\, is a form of embroidery in which thread is stitched through a stiff\, open-weave canvas. Although needlepoint includes a variety of stit ches\, most designs are created using a simple diagonal tent stitch\, whic h gives needlepoint its distinctive appearance.
\nIn this hands-on i ntroductory workshop\, you'll learn how to choose materials\, master basic stitches\, and troubleshoot common issues as you work.
\nWe'll also explore how to use Cricut Design Space and the Cricut Maker to create cus tom guides for your needlepoint canvas. You'll learn how to import or crea te simple designs in the software and use the Cricut to draw a personalize d template directly onto your canvas.
\nBy the end of the session\, you'll have the knowledge\, tools\, and materials needed to begin your nee dlepoint journey. While we'll get our projects started during the workshop \, needlepoint is a time-intensive craft\, so you'll likely need to contin ue working on your project at home.
\nAll materials will be provided \, and no prior experience is required.
