\nThis is a six-week workshop. Please plan to attend all sessions! \;The dates are as follows: Nov 1\, Nov 8\, Nov 15\, Nov 29\, Dec 6\, Dec 13. (Please note there is a one-week break just before Thanksgiving.)
\nEach ses sion is devoted to a different phase of writing a novel\, beginning with i dea generation and ending with revision\, and includes dedicated writing t ime within each session. There will be writing prompts\, time for sharing work aloud\, and supplemental reading (optional) related to each topic of discussion.
\nAbout the presenter: \;Ben Van Voorhis is a writer and editor from Santa Clarita\, California. He holds an MFA in fiction fr om Eastern Washington University and was the managing editor of Willow Spr ings. A recipient of the PEN/Dau short story prize\, his fiction and other writing have appeared in Meridian\, Nimrod\, Baltimore Review\, Salam ander\, The Masters Review\, and Best Debut Short Stories 2024\, among other publications. He is the managing editor of ArcNews\, a magazine for users of geospatial technology. He now lives in Spokan e where he facilitates community writing programs.
