 y is a two-time Newbery Medalist\, Newbery Honoree\, and National Book Awa
 rd Finalist whose work has been translated into more than a dozen language
 s. She is a&nbsp\;New York Times-bestselling author and is on the founding
  faculty of the MFA in Writing for Young Readers program at the University
  of San Francisco. She has a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from McNees
 e State University\, an MFA in fiction from Rosemont College\, and an hono
 rary doctorate of fine arts from Moore College of Art and Design. A native

 p>\n<p>Margaret Peterson Haddix grew up on a farm near Washington Court Ho
 use\, Ohio. She graduated from Miami University (of Ohio) with degrees in 
 English/journalism\, English/creative writing and history. Before her firs
 t book was published\, she worked as a newspaper copy editor in Fort Wayne
 \, Indiana\; a newspaper reporter in Indianapolis\; and a community colleg
 e instructor and freelance writer in Danville\, Illinois.</p>\n<p>She has 
 since written 50 books for kids and teens\, including&nbsp\;<em>Running Ou
 t of Time\,</em>&nbsp\;the&nbsp\;Shadow Children&nbsp\;series\, the&nbsp\;
 Missing&nbsp\;series and many more. Her latest book\, <em>Tangled In Time<
 /em>\, is the second in the Moonleapers series.&nbsp\;Her books have been 
 honored with&nbsp\;New York Times&nbsp\;bestseller status\, an Edgar Allan
  Poe Award for best juvenile mystery\; the International Reading Associati
 on&rsquo\;s Children&rsquo\;s Book Award\; American Library Association Be
 st Book and Quick Pick for Reluctant Young Adult Readers notations\; and n
