 n<p>Fern Taillefer is a founding member of the Canadian Association of Vet
 erans in United Nations Peacekeeping\, Central Ontario Chapter\, and curre
 ntly serves as President of the Association. He also serves as the Nationa
 l Vice President of the Peacekeeping Association.</p>\n<p>For the past 22 
 years\, Fern has been the Chief Organizer of the highly attended Peacekeep
 ers Parade and ceremonies held annually in the village of Angus. His dedic
 ation to honouring and supporting veterans is reflected in his many years 
 of service to the veteran community.</p>\n<p>Fern also serves as Parade Ma
 rshal for the Barrie Legion\, leading the annual Remembrance Day parade th
 rough downtown Barrie every November 11th\, as well as the Battle of the A
 tlantic and D-Day commemorative ceremonies.</p>\n<p>In addition to his lea
 dership responsibilities\, Fern serves as the Legion&rsquo\;s Veteran Serv
 ices Officer\, President\, and Poppy Chairman. He is also a member of the 
 Barrie Veterans Club and serves on the executive of the Canadian Airborne 
 Forces Association as Second Vice President.</p>\n<p>Fern is a lifetime me
 mber of both the NATO Association and the Algonquin Regiment Association. 
 Through his extensive volunteer service\, leadership\, and commitment to r
 emembrance\, he has made a significant and lasting contribution to veteran
