 at his university\, strikes a deal with the Devil - a top-hatted\, shady c
 haracter named Scapinelli (Werner Krauss) &ndash\; after meeting&nbsp\;the
  girl of his dreams who happens to be wealthy while he is poor. For 600\,0
 00 gold coins\, the student agrees to sell this devil anything in his room
 . When he chooses the student's reflection from a mirror\, this doppelg&au
 ml\;nger always finds ways to be in the right place at the wrong time. The
  creature follows and haunts the student mercilessly until Balduin is forc
