  No previous volunteer experience is needed.</p>\n<p><strong>You must be i
 n grades 9&ndash\;12 and at least 13 years old.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>S
 chool-Year Volunteer Shifts</strong><br />Regular volunteers commit to a r
 ecurring two-hour shift. Available shift times are:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday&
 ndash\;Friday: 4&ndash\;6 p.m.</li>\n<li>Saturday: 10 a.m.&ndash\;noon or 
 3&ndash\;5 p.m.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Consider which shifts fit your school\, ac
 tivities\, and transportation arrangements.</p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply</
 strong><br />Register for <strong>one of the two information sessions</str
 ong> and attend the full hour. Returning volunteers must also attend a ses
 sion and reapply.</p>\n<p>After the session\, teens who remain interested 
 will receive an application packet with the deadline for returning the com
 pleted forms. Applicants under 18 need a parent or guardian signature.</p>
 \n<p><strong>Attendance does not guarantee a volunteer placement.</strong>
  Teens offered a placement must complete group task training and have the 
 required signed paperwork on file. Staff will confirm when they may begin 
 volunteering.</p>\n<p><strong>Earn one Student Service Learning (SSL) hour
  for attending the full information session.</strong></p>\n<p>Questions ab

 rary Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to par
 ticipants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attendin
 g an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adul
 ts attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying chi
 ld.</p>\n<p>If you plan to attend with a group of ten or more\, please con
 tact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your g
