Not long ago\, women often made small sewing keepsakes for themselves or to give as remembrances. Money wa s tight\, so these inexpensive treasures &mdash\; which held pins\, scisso rs\, thread\, and other sewing items &mdash\; were kept in a sewing basket . These treasures are fun to make and share.
