 ks\, writing practices\, and the ideas and experiences that shape their st
 ories\, followed by a conversation about contemporary Canadian literature

 an Paylor</strong></p>\n<p>Loghan Paylor is a queer\, trans writer who liv
 es in Chilliwack\, BC. They are the author of the #1 national bestseller&n
 bsp\;The Cure for Drowning&nbsp\;(Random House Canada\, 2024)\, which won 
 the 2026&nbsp\;CBC Canada Reads&nbsp\;competition and was shortlisted for 
 the 2026 Rakuten Kobo Emerging Writer Prize for Speculative Fiction. It wa
 s also shortlisted for the 2025 BC and Yukon Book Prize: Jim Deva Prize fo
 r Writing That Provokes and longlisted for the 2024 Giller Prize. It was a
  2024&nbsp\;Globe and Mail&nbsp\;Best Book of the Year pick. Loghan&rsquo\
 ;s work has appeared in&nbsp\;Room\, Prairie Fire\, CBC Arts&nbsp\;and mor
 e. Their nonfiction work was longlisted for the 2025 CBC Nonfiction Prize.
  Loghan is a graduate of The Writer&rsquo\;s Studio at Simon Fraser Univer
 sity and they hold an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Briti
 sh Columbia. They divide their time between teaching\, writing\, and co-ow
 ning a game company.</p>\n<p>&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong>About Anuja Varghese<
 /strong></p>\n<p>Anuja Varghese (she/her) is an award-winning writer and e
 ditor.&nbsp\;Her debut short story collection\,&nbsp\;Chrysalis\, won the 
 Writers' Trust of Canada's Dayne Ogilvie Prize for LGBTQ2S+ Emerging Write
 rs and the Governor General&rsquo\;s Literary Award for Fiction\, was shor
 tlisted for the Rakuten Kobo Emerging Writer Prize\, and was longlisted fo
 r the Carol Shields Prize for Fiction. Her work has appeared in&nbsp\;Hoba
 rt\, Corvid Queen\, Southern Humanities Review\,&nbsp\;The Malahat Review\
 ,&nbsp\;The Fiddlehead\, and&nbsp\;Plenitude Magazine\, as well as the&nbs
 p\;Queer Little Nightmares&nbsp\;anthology\, among others. Anuja lives in 
 Hamilton\, Ontario\, with her partner\, two kids\, and two cats.</p>\n<p>&
