 itiated. It looks complicated\, and it does not help that experienced knit
 ters are often so quick that the whole process can feel overwhelming.</p>\
 n<p>Yet knitting is a craft with a long and fascinating history. People ha
 ve been knitting for centuries. The oldest known knitted artifact is a soc
 k dating back to 11th century Egypt\, though its intricate construction su
 ggests that knitting traditions have existed for much longer.</p>\n<p>In t
 his hands-on introductory workshop\, you'll discover that knitting is far 
 more approachable than it first appears. You'll learn how to choose yarn a
 nd needles\, how to cast on and cast off\, how to create basic knit stitch
 es\, and how to troubleshoot common issues as you work.</p>\n<p>By the end
  of the session\, you'll have all the knowledge you need to begin your kni
 tting journey. No prior experience is required!</p>\n<p><strong>If you hav
 e your own tools and materials you wish to bring in\, please do! Otherwise
 \, tools and materials will be provided for you to use during the session.
