 gina SK\,S4T 4L8</p>\n<p>Traditionally\, ribbon skirts are worn by Indigen
 ous women and girls during ceremony and special community events. Over tim
 e\, ribbon skirts have evolved and are now seen at events to show support 
 for causes. Women and girls wear these brightly coloured ribbon skirts to 
 honour their ancestral practices and it&rsquo\;s a way to connect to their
  traditions and an expression of culture.</p>\n<p><strong>Learning outcome
 s:</strong> In this 2 day workshop\, you will have an opportunity to make 
 your own Ribbon Skirt\, and to learn about its traditional significance.</
 p>\n<p><strong>This workshop is all inclusive and welcomes participants fr
 om all genders and identities.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Presenter Informat
 ion:</strong><em><strong>Katelyn Ironstar</strong>&nbsp\;is an Indigenous 
 artist from Treaty 4. She grew up in a powwow family and has been beading 
 since the age of thirteen. Katelyn is the owner of a small business that s
 pecializes in providing high-end\, personalized Indigenous corporate gifts
  and accessories to companies and organizations Canada wide. Katelyn also 
 specializes in facilitation and providing cultural arts workshops for vari
 ous organizations. She is passionate about sharing her talent.</em></p>\nh
