 genous women and girls during ceremony and special community events. Over 
 time\, ribbon skirts have evolved and are now seen at events to show suppo
 rt for causes. Women and girls wear these brightly coloured ribbon skirts 
 to honour their ancestral practices and it&rsquo\;s a way to connect to th
 eir traditions and an expression of culture.</p>\n<p><strong>Learning outc
 omes:</strong> In this 2 day workshop\, you will have an opportunity to ma
 ke your own Ribbon Skirt\, and to learn about its traditional significance
 .</p>\n<p><strong>This workshop is all inclusive and welcomes participants
  from all genders and identities.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Presenter Infor
 mation:</strong><em><strong> Tracey George Heese</strong> Direct hereditar
 y Descendant of Chief Kakishiway Treaty 4 Signatory and a member from Ocha
 powace First Nation in Treaty 4 Territory\, Saskatchewan\, is a visionary 
 fashion designer and cultural arts facilitator. Her work\, under the label
  Timeless Shadows Apparel\, blends traditional Indigenous artistry with co
 ntemporary fashion\, serving diverse clients from rodeo\, powwow to royalt
 y. As a garment designer\, arts facilitator and full-time grandmother\, Tr
 acey is connected to cultural roots and helps others express their beliefs
