 ing experience\, this workshop offers the perfect opportunity to transform
  old\, unused garments into stylish\, one-of-a-kind pieces. Learn essentia
 l techniques for altering clothing to fit better\, as well as innovative m
 ethods to breathe new life into fabrics that might otherwise go to waste.&
 nbsp\;</p>\n<p>No sewing experience necessary to join this program\, howev
 er we suggest attending a Sewing Basics program first if you have never us
 ed a sewing machine before. If you haven't received an induction to our se
 wing and overlocker machines before\, we ask that you arrive 10-15mins pri
 or to the start time of the program.</p>\n<p><strong>Requirements for indu
 ction:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be 18 years or older to be inducted to
  use the sewing machines</li>\n<li>Must be a member of the Geelong Regiona
 l Libraries</li>\n<li>Sewing and overlocking machine are available to be b
 orrowed for use within the library.&nbsp\;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What to
  expect:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>This is a practical educational and socia
 l program for adults\, facilitated&nbsp\;by a library staff member</li>\n<
 li>There is a a maximum of 5 participants.&nbsp\;</li>\n<li>You will learn
  how to safely operate the library's sewing machine and overlocker.</li>\n
 <li>Please bring along a project that you'd like to work on and we can hel
 p get you started.</li>\n<li>With the support of the facilitator\, you wil
 l learn to make simple alterations and adjustments to your item of clothin
 g</li>\n<li>It is a relaxed social&nbsp\;environment&nbsp\;and you are&nbs
 p\;welcome to chat as much or as little as&nbsp\;you&nbsp\;like.</li>\n<li
 >No experience is needed\, and basic sewing materials are provided.<br />&
