 s from members and friends of Gabriel Dumont Local 11\, a M&eacute\;tis Lo
 cal in Saskatoon. Many Metis have grown up with Roogaroo and superstition 
 stories. Storytelling is essential to the Metis people\, a traditional met
 hod of sharing knowledge from generation to generation.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Thi
 s program is being presented to acknowledge Metis history\, culture and tr
 aditions.</p>\n<p>The program will be conducted through Zoom. At least one
  hour prior to the program\, we will send you an email with the Zoom meeti

 ><em>Leah Dorion is an interdisciplinary M&eacute\;tis artist raised in Pr
 ince Albert\, Saskatchewan. A teacher\, painter\, filmmaker and published 
 writer\, Leah views her M&eacute\;tis heritage as providing her with a uni
 que bridge for knowledge between all people. Her paintings honour the spir
 itual strength of Indigenous women and the sacred feminine. Leah believes 
 that women play a key role in passing on vital knowledge for all of humani
 ty which is deeply reflected in her artistic practice. She believes women 
 are the first teachers to the next generation.</em></p>\nhttps://rpl.libne
