DESCRIPTION:NAACP Spokane invites the community to our Candidate Forum fea
turing candidates for Congress and Spokane County Prosecutor.\nhttps://spo
 kanelibrary.libnet.info/event/17613481
X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>At this public venue\, community members c
an speak directly to federal decision-makers about the issues impacting ou
r families\, neighborhoods\, and futures. When Black residents of Spokane
attend\, we bring lived experience\, expertise\, and clarity to conversati
ons that too often overlook our realities. Our participation strengthens a
ccountability and ensures that the policies being discussed reflect the ne
eds of the people most affected.</p>\n<p>Showing up is not just civic enga
gement\; it is a continuation of our legacy. Historically\, Black voices a
s well as other members of the global majority were excluded from these ro
oms\, and today our presence is a powerful reminder that we belong in ever
y space where decisions are made. By attending the Congressional Forum\, w
 e safeguard our rights\, elevate community priorities\, and help shape a m
ore equitable future for Spokane and beyond. NAACP Spokane calls on our co
mmunity to stand together\, speak boldly\, and remain active in the proces
ses that determine our collective well-being.</p>\n<p><strong>Registration
is required for this event.</strong></p>\n<p>By attending library program
s\, you are agreeing to potentially appear in photos/videos taken at our l
ocations that may be used in promotional materials including social media.
