X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>Build your social health and happiness wit
h one simple trick: talk to a stranger. Feeling rusty? This post-pandemic
world has only increased our isolation and damaged our feelings of connect
ion and belonging. Your library can help with that! This week we supply th
e stranger for you to practice with\, and a reason to make it happen.</p>\
n<p>Stop by one of our 'conversation stations' and chat with a friendly li
brary volunteer\, pick up your "I Talk to Strangers" sticker then hit the
road. We can make a difference in our own lives and the lives of others by
simply saying hello\, smiling\, or striking up a conversation with a stra
 nger.</p>\n<p>&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong>About Talk to a Stranger Week</stron
 g></p>\n<p><a href="https://www.talktoastrangerweek.org/">Talk to a Strang
er Week</a> is held annually in November\, and intends to educate and empo
wer Canadians to build stronger connections and communities through the si
mple power of talking to strangers. In 2021\, Genwell - Canada&rsquo\;s Hu
man Connection Movement - conducted a Canadian Social Connection Survey. O
ne of the things they found was that people who talked to a stranger just
once a week were up to three times happier than those who didn&rsquo\;t sp
eak to strangers.&nbsp\;Other research suggests that only 20% of Canadians
talk to strangers each day and it is nearly 100% of the time that both pa
rties are happy that the exchange happened. Talk To A Stranger Week may pr
ovide another opportunity for citizens of Cambridge to build healthier con
 nection habits starting today.</p>\n<p>&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><st
