w months\, the John M. Harper Branch will be welcoming a new mural by cele
brated local artist Luke Swinson. As part of our celebration of Ontario Pu
blic Library Week\, Luke will be at the library sharing his work and conne
cting with customers. Stop by the table in the library lobby to meet the a
rtist\, learn more about the upcoming project\, and share your thoughts\,
stories\, and experiences of the library to inspire the mural design.
Luke Swinson is an illustr ator and muralist based in Kitchener\, Ontario\, whose work is rooted in h is Indigenous heritage as a member of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island Fi rst Nation. With a focus on cultural education and preservation\, Luke&rsq uo\;s art serves as a personal exploration and reclamation of his heritage . Through his vibrant\, thought-provoking pieces\, he hopes to inspire you nger generations to connect with their roots and the natural world.
