ill discuss how to capture key words from something we&rsquo\;ve just witn
essed. The key words can be related to what we&rsquo\;ve seen\, heard\, an
d sensed\, as well as initial feelings and reactions. Then\, the key words
can \;be used as simple prompts for writing something\, soon afterwar
ds. This technique can be used for writing poetry\, short paragraphs\, sto
ry &\; character ideas\, etc. \;Participants will have the opportun
ity to practice this technique during the session \;and will be given
their own notebook. \;

owledge with us \;during the month of November\, which is National Nov
el-writing month and Lorevember! Dr. John Burgette writes in several style
s\, including poetry\, research\, \;sermons\, and short stories. His b
ackground includes computer science\, social \;sciences\, academic res
earch\, and lay ministry. Besides contributing to several \;anthologie
s for a local writers group\, his creative writing has appeared in Souther
n \;Writers Magazine and Tennessee Magazine. \;
