Mayor Nicholas J. Sacco has designated Oct ober 20th to be North Bergen's annual Day of Service. Whether at the libra ry or around town\, we invite everyone to give back to our beloved communi ty by spreading kindness and engaging in acts of service. \;

T he Main Branch of the Sai Rao Public Library of North Bergen will be offer ing two volunteer opportunities on the day. \;

\n

1. Cards for Se niors \; (3 - 5 PM) \;- Make a heartwarming card to put a smile on a senior's face! Activity for ages 5 and up.

\n

2. Sandwiches for th e Food Pantry \;(6 - 8PM) - \; \;Assemble PB&\; J sandwiche s to be distributed at a local food pantry. Unopened Peanut Butter &\; Jelly donations accepted. \;Activity for teens and adults.

\n

We will also be hosting a Canned Food Drive and a Winter Accessory Drive at t he Main Library and the Kennedy Branch from October 20th through to Novemb er 6th. \;Drop off canned goods and/or new socks\, gloves\, and hats t o benefit those in need.
